The blade came in a day later than it was supposed to but this is no fault of the company. It came very well packaged and coated in oil to prevent any corrosion to the finish. Out of the box this blade was incredibly sharp and cut through everything I put in front of it with no issues whatsoever. My only real complaint and the reason this is getting 4 vs 5 stars is the blade has a slight warp near the grip from a possible quenching issue during the forging process. This doesn’t impact the knife during more rough chopping however when using this knife for finer skills the warp causes the knife to veer off center and could lead to injury
